of the Miss Universe Pageant. In 1974 Miss Aruba Maureen Vieira placed 4th in the Miss Universe Pageant held in The Philippines. Miss Aruba 1995 Taryn Mansell achieved the title of first runner-up in the Miss Universe Pageant 1996 held in Las Vegas, Nevada. |

became first runner-up in Miss Aruba 2001. She represented the island at Miss World 2001 achieving the title of first runner-up which was the highest ranking ever for Aruba in the Miss World Pageant. |
